Testimonial: Eilis Longley-Brown - Relief After Neck Surgery
Having undergone extensive neck surgery and a course of radiotherapy in early-to-mid 2012 I was left, following recovery, with a lot of fibrosed neck tissue and an element of neck lymphedema, which results in muscle stiffness and swelling. The outcomes from all the conventional treatments, stretching, exercise, massage, muscle relaxant and painkillers when required were not getting me to what I felt was the best that could be achieved. With a medical background (a dentist by trade) I researched the use of laser therapy for my conditions and decided that it would be beneficial to try this in addition to the ongoing therapies I was using. Fortunately for me the Chew Valley laser centre is not too far from me, which is lucky as there are few if any centres offering the treatment that I was looking for. Laser therapy has been developed primarily in North America and the technology, although used in certain areas, is not widely available in the form offered by the Chew centre and Bioflex laser system, which is what I wanted to try. The results have been a great success. After two courses and ongoing maintenance I feel that the use of the Bioflex laser system at the Chew clinic is helping with the pain, flexibility and neck lymphedema, wonderfully complementing the traditional treatment plan I still follow. As an establishment I have found the staff to be courteous, professional, knowledgeable and friendly and would highly recommend the use of laser therapy at the Chew Valley centre as a complement to potentially improve outcomes for ongoing conditions that may need a boost to conventional therapies.
Sincerely,
Eilis Longley-Brown BDS
